Shri R.N.Singh, Executive Director, Track, Railway Board has assumed as Divisional Railway Manager, Northern Railway, Delhi office today. He succeeds Shri Arun Arora
Belonging to the Indian Railway Services of Engineers of 1986 batch, Shri Singh had obtained both his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Engineering from the prestigious IIT, Roorkee. His earlier stint in Delhi Division was in the capacity of Sr. Divisional Engineer in the years 1994-1998, which is marked with noteworthy distinctions which includes the successful planning and completion of mega-development projects viz. Development of Anand Vihar Mega Terminal, New Station Buildings at New Delhi(Ajmeri Gate side), H. Nizamuddin station & Delhi Shahdara station besides doubling project of Ghaziabad-Hapir, Yard Remodelling works at New Delhi and H. Nizamuddin station, Ranny Well Project for which he was conferred with the Minister for Railways Award. As Executive Director, Track, Railway Board, he had spearheaded expeditious completion of track upgradation and modernization on Indian Railways. Interestingly, Shri Singh earlier served as IPS officer also for three years. His other distinctions include a wide range of specialized training in areas viz. Rescue & Relief Management in Netherland, Strategic Management in Paris, Singapore & Malaysia & track Machines management in Austria. His chief areas of interest include Strategic Management, Project Optimization and Management besides Sports.
