GENERAL MANAGER, NORTHERN RAILWAY INSPECTS DEHRADUN RAILWAY STATION TODAY


GENERAL MANAGER INTERACTS WITH TRACKMEN AND ENGINEERS AND REVIEWS o­n-GOING DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS 

ANNOUNCES CASH AWARD OF RS 5000 FOR TROLLEY MEN AND RS 10000 FOR TWO TRACK-MAINTENANCE GANGS

Assigning highest importance to safety-oriented working, General Manager, Northern Railway conducted a safety-focused inspection of Dehradunrailway station. He was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager, Moradabad Sh. A.K.Singhal & Senior Divisional Officers. Besides an extensive inspection of Dehradun station yard, the General Manager also reviewed the progress of yard remodeling in connection with the o­ngoing Project for development of traffic facilities for running 18-coach o­n the Haridwar-Dehradun section. He also directed to ensure provision of washable apron at PF 1 and 2 also. Going over the station premises, he inspected the platforms, station facilities, circular area modifications and o­n-going work for provision of lifts and escalator. Both lifts and escalator are slated to be commissioned during the current month i.e. October 2017. He also directed that the work of CCTV and Coach Guidance System to be expedited and completed early.

 The General Manager also conducted a push- trolley inspection o­n the location where a portion of retaining wall had collapsed during recent heavy rains for which restoration work is in progress. He was assured that the restoration work shall be completed within a week and inspecting the location, he directed that the ballast be recouped. The General Manager also interacted with the trackmen and took note of their grievances. Later in the day, he visited the site for upcoming colony for staff where quarters are being constructed. 

The General Manager also visited level-crossing 36 A where the work of ROB is in progress by NHAI and had an interactive session with the engineers. The work for the railway portion has also started and likely to be ready by Aug 2018.

The General Manager also announced Rs 5000 for trolley men and Rs 10000 for two gangs.
