PM Modi Flags off three Vande Bharat Express

                                                                      
∙        PM Modi Flags off  three Vande Bharat Express Train via video conferencing
∙        Flagged off Vande Bharat will run between Meerut—Lucknow, Madurai—Bengaluru, and Chennai—Nagercoil. 
∙        Regular service of Meerut City- Lucknow Vande Bharat will commence from 01.09.2024 from Lucknow and from 02.09.2024 from Meerut city
Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat trains via videoconferencing today. Realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’ and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express will improve connectivity o­n three routes: Meerut—Lucknow, Madurai—Bengaluru, and Chennai—Nagercoil. These trains will boost connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. 

 On the occasion ,Hon’ble Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Shri Dinesh Khatik, Honorable  Minister of  State for Energy, Additional Sources of Energy, Dr. Somendra Tomar, Hon’ble Mayor, Meerut, Shri Harikant Ahluwalia, Hon’ble MP(LS), Shri Arun Govil, Hon’ble M.P. (Rajya Sabha), Dr. Laxmikant  Bajpayee, Hon’ble M L A, Meerut, Shri Rafique Ansari and Shri Amit Agarwal, Hon’ble MLC, Meerut, Shri Dharmendra, General Manager/ NR, Shri Shobhan Chaudhuri, DRM Delhi, Shri Sukhvinder Singh and other senior railway officials were present at function held at  Meerut City Station simultaneously.

 Hon’ble Mayor/ Moradabad, Shri Vinod Agarwal,  Hon’ble MP(LS), Smt. Ruchivira, Hon’ble MLA, Shri Ritesh Kumar Gupta , Hon’ble MLC, Dr. Jaipal Singh Vyast, Sh. Gopal Anjan and Dr. Shefali Singh, Zila Panchayat Adhyaksha and DRM / Moradabad , Shri Raj Kumar Singh were present at function held at Moradabad station while Hon’ble Forest Minister,  UP , Shri Arun Kumar, Hon’ble Mayor Bareilly, Shri Umesh Gautam, Hon’ble MP (LS), Shri Chatrpal Singh Gangwar, Hon’ble MLA, Shri Sanjeev Agarwal and Shri Raghvendra Sharma, Hon’ble MLC, Shri Bahron Lal  Morya, were present at Bareilly station . 
The 22490/22489 Meerut City-Lucknow-Meerut City Vande Bharat Express train will commence its regular service from 01.09.2024 from Lucknow and from 02.09.2024 from Meerut City. It will run six days in a week except Tuesday.The 22490 Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Meerut City at 06.35 hrs to arrive at Lucknow at 13.45 .hrs. the same day . In the return direction the 22489 Lucknow.MeerutCity Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Lucknow at 14.45 hrs to arrive at Meerut City at 22.00 hrs the same day. The 22490/22489 Meerut City-Lucknow- Meerut City Vande Bharat Express train  having 08 A.C. Chair Car coaches will stop at Moradabad and Bareilly Jn. stations enroute in both directions.
Introduction of a new Vande Bharat Express Train between Meerut City and Lucknow will significantly improve connectivity and reduce travel time between Meerut City and Lucknow. Such enhanced connectivity leads to growth in tourism, increase in economic growth and connecting people from different parts of the country. It will help cater to demand to reach Lucknow via Moradabad-Bareilly by a faster mode and return to Meerut City in the night, the same day.
