Sh. Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railways held a pivotal performance review meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway and DRMs. The meeting, which took place at Baroda House focused on enhancing safety protocols and ensuring the highest standards of safety for both employees and passengers.
During the meeting, Sh. Chaudhuri emphasized the Northern Railway unwavering commitment to safety and highlighted the importance of continually reviewing and improving safety measures. The officers in attendance actively engaged in discussions on current safety procedures, potential risks, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
In a bid to enhance passengers experience and modernize railway infrastructure, GM conducted a comprehensive review to assess the progress of stations under the Amrit Bharat Scheme and stations redevelopment work. He instructed the officials to monitor the progress of redevelopment work of stations and timely completion of work. GM highlighted the importance of timely execution and quality adherence to ensure the successful completion of the projects within the stipulated time period.
GM took stock of detention of trains due to crew change at crew changing points and instructed the divisions to implement crew changing within shortage possible time so that the delay of trains on account of crew changing can be minimized. He also instructed the department heads and DRMs, to maintain the punctuality and keep pace for freight loading with safety as priority.
