CRB & CEO Sh. Satish Kumar administers Swachhata pledge
to Officers and Staff at New Delhi Railway station
“Swachhata Hi Seva” Campaign is being organized on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on 2nd October, to make his dream come true and to fulfill his commitment to cleanliness. on the Indian Railways this year from 17thSeptember to 1st October “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign is being organized on the theme of ‘Swabhav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata”. on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti will be celebrated as 'Swachhata Diwas'.
Today, Sh. Satish Kumar CRB & CEO administered the Swachhata Pledge to Officers and Staff at New Delhi railway station. Smt. Roopa Srinivasan Member Finance, Sh. Manoj Yadava, Director General RPF, Sh. Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railway, Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, DRM Delhi and Officers and Staff of Railway Board and Northern Railway were also present on this occasion. CRB & CEO alongwith officers and staff participated in Shramdaan. Saplings were also planted on this occasion under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ CRB & CEO also appreciated Safai Karamcharis for doing good work and honoured them by distributing certificates of appreciation to them and exhorted them to keep on the good work. CRB and CEO also inspected the cleaning machines in use at the station. A Nukkad Natak was also organized to create awareness about keeping station premises clean. He has also interacted with the passenger regarding cleanliness and took their feedback.
As part of the campaign, many activities were organized today in the offices, stations railway colonies, workshops and health units of Delhi Division, Northern Railway. Officers administered an oath of cleanliness to officers and employees. on this occasion, a thorough cleaning campaign was launched through Shramdaan. Plantation of saplings was also organized at offices, railway stations, workshops, offices, railway colonies and health units. On this occasion, Sh. Ravinder Goyal Member Operations & Business Development was present at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, Sh. Naveen Gulati Director General (HR) and Sh. Braj Mohan Agrawal Director General (Safety) were present at Anand Vihar Terminal, Sh. Manu Goel Additional Member Environment and Housekeeping Management Railway Board was present at Old Delhi Railway Station. A Health Check up camp was also organized at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station.
