Volunteers from the Why Waste Wednesdays Foundation were also present at the event, where they set up a small stall showcasing alternatives to plastic, such as cloth bags, and home composters for composting of food waste at home. Innovative bricks made out of low value plastics were also displayed at the stall.
As part of the event, and to further engage the attending Railway personnel, a selfie booth themed around “Swachhata Hi Seva” was set up in the Main Lawn where the event was held, adding a fun and interactive element to the day’s activities.
