Sh. Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railways today held a vital performance review meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway and DRMs at Baroda House.Emphasis was placed on passenger’s amenities like lifts facilities for Divayangjans, cleanliness at stations; having adequate seating arrangement at stations, availability of facilities like clean toilets, fresh drinking water and providing accurate & timely information to passengers regarding train schedules and other relevant details etc.
He emphasized that the railway working should be transparent. He stressed upon maximum use of technology so that human intervention can be minimized and transparency in all spheres of railway working may be established. He said the efforts should be enhanced to minimize the human failure in train operation.
Shri Chaudhuri emphasized on better crew management and optimum utilization of manpower. He instructed to maintain good record of punctuality of trains and expedite the works related with mobility enhancement and conducting drives to check the progress. He reviewed the work done over the zone in improving the maintenance standard of track, welds and removal of scrap lying near the tracks.
