"Swachhata Pakhwada” campaign being organised on Railways
from 1st October to 15th October 2024.
“Swachhata Pakhwada” Campaign is being organized from 1st October to 15th October to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on 2nd October, to make his dream come true and to fulfill his commitment to cleanliness.
An Intensive cleanliness drive was organized at major Railway Stations. Availability and working of cleaning machines tools and plants, protective gears for cleaning staff is being ensured at all major Railway Stations. Availability of dustbins and a compaign for “fill the dustbin’ was taken up to generate awareness among the rail users. Cleanliness of drains and toilets were focused under the campaign. Inspection was conducted to ensure upkeep and stacking of hydrant pipes in a proper manner.
