Today, Sh. Ashok Kumar Verma, General Manager of Northern Railways, conducted an in-depth inspection of the Rail Coach Naveenikaran Karkhana (RCNK), located in Barhi village, District Sonipat. General Manager was accompanied by Sh. AK Chandra Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer NR and Sh. Sukhvinder Singh Divisional Railway Manager Delhi. RCNK is a state-of-the-art facility, uniquely spread across 150 acres, dedicated to the Mid Life Rehabilitation (MLR) of LHB coaches, playing a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading Indian Railways' coach fleet.
During his visit, Sh. Verma conducted a comprehensive review of the various facilities and activities being carried out at the workshop.
Sh. Verma expressed his appreciation for the dedication and efficiency demonstrated by the RCNK team, especially in achieving such remarkable results with limited resources. He emphasized on importance of maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring that the quality of work is never compromised.
In a significant event, the General Manager unveiled the new logo of RCNK and flagged off the 100th overhauled coach, a milestone for the workshop. He praised the quality of the overhauled coaches and directed the team to incorporate all the latest technological modifications during the refurbishment process to enhance the overall performance of the coaches.
