Improvement in lighting at Nilokheri Railway Station and provision of higher capacity transformer at Shakurbasti Railway Station, Delhi Division


New Platform Light Poles have been provided by Delhi Division at Nilokheri Railway station which has now eliminated the dark patches o­n the platforms of the station. The Electrical department of Delhi Division had earlier identified major and minor dark spots at the station. As per the survey, provision of new platform light poles was planned and the same have now been installed at the station and are functional. Provision of 18 new single armed octagonal type street light poles has been made at Platform 2, each fixed with 45-watt LED street light luminary. Similar provision is being made at other Platforms also. The illumination level at the platforms is being improved progressively which will help the passengers traveling from the station at night.

Delhi Division has also replaced o­ne Power Transformers recently at Shakurbasti Railway station so as to maintain and strengthen reliable power supply at the station and associated Railway service buildings. This also includes Railway General Store Depot and Railway Health Unit near the station premises. The earlier 250KVA Transformer at 11/415 KV SSB Rani Bagh Electric substation has now been replaced with a 500KVA Transformer.
