Northern Railway to run unreserved trains to clear extra rush as per need on real time basis
In 2023, 1082 trips were operated by Northern Railway
During this festive season, Northern Railway is operating festival special trains to ensure smooth travel for the passengers These special trains are operated from Ist October 2024 to 30th November 2024.
To tackle the rush during the festive season, this year Northern Railway will operate around 3050 trips of special trains. This year there has been a noteworthy increase in special trains operated by Northern Railway.
These increased trips will benefit passengers in a big way to reach their destinations.
In 2023, Indian Railways operated festival special trains in which Northern Railway had run 1082 trips of special trains.
This year, 3050 trips shall be operated which is an increase of 181%.
Apart from special trains, extra coaches are being augmented in trains to generate more capacity for travel.
This increase showcases Railways' commitment for convenient travel for its passengers.
