Delhi Division Celebrates International Women’s Day

              Women's Day is celebrated globally o­n 8 March every year in honour & appreciation of their remarkable contribution to our society. The day also commemorates the inspiring role of women around the world to secure women's rights and build more equitable societies.

             Today, as part of the celebrations, all women staff were o­n duty at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station (as a Pink Station) which included Station Master, Pointsman, RPF Staff, Booking Clerk, Signal Khalasi. A goods train with women Loco Pilot and women train manager also departed from the station .

             In a function organised by Delhi Division female staff were felicitated o­n this occasion by Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, Divisional  Railway Manager, Delhi in the presence of . Officers & staff  of Delhi Division. 36 Best female employees were awarded by DRM .Five meritorious Girl child of Railway Employees who have achieved extra ordinary accolades were also felicitated by DRM Delhi During the ceremony a few women staff shared their experiences and thoughts o­n Women’s Day. o­n this occasion Brahma Kumaris gave a talk  on " Mental Health and Spirituality " to the female employees of Delhi Division of Northern Railway.   

            o­n 6th March 2024 a Women's camp was organised in which a workshop o­n women Health Issues was conducted. Alongwith this a seminar o­n "Legal Rights of Women" wase also organised .On 7th March 2024 a Women's  Medical checkup camp was arranged  about wherein about 90  Women Employees & Officers availed  the facility of tests like haemogram, bone density ,ECG etc

             Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi said that every day is Women's Day and our womenfolk deserve high respect, care and dignity in society at all times, as women are maintaining balance, civility & order in the society and are also instrumental in bringing up the children who are the future of any nation.
