VISION & MISSION

To upgrade maintenance technologies and methodologies and achieve improvement in productivity and performance of all Railway assets and manpower which inter-alia would cover reliability, availability, utilization and efficiency of train operation as well as 24X7 reliability of power supply to RR or Non-RR building of Railway board, HQ.

The Power side of Electrical General Services is responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of equipments involved in the distribution of electricity to all Railway services (except Traction) and extension of power supply to outsiders on Railway premises.All the activities of planning and maintenance of Power Supply arrangements and passenger amenity works. Also co-ordinates with State Electricity Boards for Power supply to Railway installations.
