1.Mechanical (O&F) Wing

Mechanical (O&F) wing is responsible for effective utilization and monitoring of diesel locomotives and crews. Diesel Operation plays a vital role in traffic movement over FZR division.  The Power wing has sanctioned Running Staff strength of 1831. Against this, on roll staff strength is 1663. The Crew of FZR Division works the trains in adjoining HSR Bikaner Divisions of NWR, UMB, MB & DLI Divisions of NR. There are 9 Crew lobbies, 9 Running Rooms and 8 Railway Consumer Depots (RCDs) over the division under Mechanical O&F Wing. It is also responsible for diesel issue to locomotives working on line in economical manner. EnHM works also forms the part of the duties of this wing.

5.DETAILS OF LOCO RUNNING ROOM OF FZR DIVISION

There are 9 Running Rooms under Mechanical O&F wing in the division, with a total bed capacity of 404.These are spacious Running Rooms with proper facilities and amenities to provide a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment to Running Staff. The Running Rooms are looked after by Chief Loco Inspector and have a caretaker also.  The details are as under:

6.BRIEF DETAIL ABOUT LOBBIES OF FZR DIVISION:

There are 9 Lobbies under Mechanical O&F wing in the division, with a total Sign ON/OFF capacity of 2005/per day.These lobbies have proper facilities and amenities to provide a safe & secured environment for Signing ON/OFF duty by Running Staff. The Lobbies are looked after by one Chief Loco Inspector at each Lobby and have a Crew Controllers (CC) in each shift.The details are as under:

7.RAILWAY DIESEL INSTALLATION

There are 8 RCDs over the division, out of which two are in the Total Fuel Management system (TFM) at LDH and JUC under M/s BPCL at LDH and M/s IOCL at JUC. At all the RCDs except JAT, the HSD fuel is supplied by Tank Trucks (TT).

8.140 TON BRAKE DOWN CRANE: - 03

There are three 140-T DSL BD Cranes at LDH, PTK & SVDK under the charge of SSE/ART/LDH, SSE/Loco/PTK and CDO/SVDK.

9.ACCIDENT RELIEF TRAIN

 

1)‘A’ Class ART at LDH under charge of SSE/ART/LDH.

2)‘A’ Class ART at PTK under charge of SSE/Loco/PTK.

3)‘B’ Class ART (NG) at PTK under charge of SSE/Loco/PTK.

4)‘B’ Class ART at FZR under charge of SSE/Loco/FZR.

5)‘B’ Class ART at ASR under charge of SSE/Loco/ASR.

10Other Activities:-

Providing crew for:-

  • 36 links of Superfast/Mail/Express trains.
  • 12 links for DEMU /EMEU/Passengertrains.
  • Avg.05 pairs of Special/Festival trains like Puja specials, Holi specials, Chhatspecials, and VIP specials time to time.
  • 140 T crane, ART and SPARMV.
  • Tower WagonCrew.

Training, Monitoring and Counseling:-

  • Scheduling training program of Running staff for promotional courses, safety course, traffic courses and other periodical refreshes courses.
  • Monitoring / grading of loco pilots by CLIs.
  • Counseling of running staff regarding Safety Circular & Safety Drives of Head Quarter/Divisional Office and modifications of diesel locomotives/DEMU.
  • Monitoring of PME, Safety/refresher courses of all Running staff to ensure that no overdue running staff to be booked for train working.
  • Updating and Publishing of Signal Location Booklet for Running Staff every year.
  • Training of new locomotive WDG-6G /WDG-4G/ WAG-12 & Three Phase EMEU.
  • Counseling & training regarding safe train operation during foggy weather.
  • Training regarding use of FSD (Fog Safe Device) during foggy weather.

11.Highlights/Achievements from April -22 to Dec-22

1.HSD oil (1737000 liters) has been saved by shutting down diesel power during idle period with total saving of Rs. 148767884.5/- during the current FY.

2.Crew changing time within five minutes, achieved 100% target.

3.Separate Rooms for female running staff have been provided at ASRRunning Room.
