Sr.DME/C&W/UMB

1.
Sr.DME/C&W/UMB is overall incharge of Mechanical/C&W/UMB. The department comprises of coaching depots at UMB, SRE, CDG, KLK, BTI, NLDM; Narrow Gauge Coaching Depots at KLK & SML.
2.
Looking after all the scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance of coaching stock based over UMB Division for Primary, Secondary maintenance, Terminal examination and STR besides IOH of coaches.
3.
Monitoring of control performance - day to day monitoring of performance and other control related activities, implementation of various safety drives, attending accident/breakdowns and other exigencies over UMB Division. All coaching related punctuality, failure investigation & system improvement.
4.
Budget Planning related to Coaching – RSP, Works Programme, M&P Programme.
5.
Monitoring of Execution of Tender and contracts related to Coaching - tender agreements.
6.
Monitoring of Man Power Planning - Establishment matters-D&A R , Staff welfare , Promotions, selections, Posting and transfers, Salary Bills ,etc.
7.
Successfully implementation of various MIS systems such as FMM, CMM, e-ofice, HRMS, Rail Madad, ICWMS, e-MB, Shramik Kalyan web portal, UDM – Generating of stock and non stock proposals. Liaison with JUDW & KLK workshops for feed/materials etc.
8.
Heritage officer UMB Division – Looking after Heritage of KSR Section, beside submission of various periodical reports to Railway Board and UNESCO as per schedule. Looking after Baba Bhalku Rail Museum Shimla. Looking after the operation and execution of two souvenir shops based at SML & KLK.
9.
Monitoring /disposal of audit reports, labour court cases, CPGram complaints, RTI cases, attending CIC appeal hearing. Managing official replies relating to Union matters, PCDO / Narrative to DRM & H.Q..
10.
Working as Divisional liaison officer for Civil defence.
11.
Co-ordination with all the other branch officers of Ambala Division.
12.
Besides above whatever other duties assigned by H.Q.,DRM/ADRM & office.
