| NORTHERN RAILWAY PROMOTEE OFFICER ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS TREE PLANTATION DRIVE AT ECO PARK, CHANAKYAPURI | |
NEW DELHI — In a major step toward environmental sustainability and green initiatives, Northern Railway organized a mass tree plantation drive at Eco Park, Chanakyapuri. The event was organized by the Northern Railway Promotee Officers’ Association (NRPOA).
Shri Rajesh Kumar Pandey, the General Manager, Northern Railway, led the drive as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the railway’s commitment to expanding green cover, combatting climate change, and promoting ecological balance across railway land.
Shri Harsh Khare, Additional General Manager (AGM), Northern Railway, actively participated in the drive alongside Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) and senior executive officers of Northern Railway. Together, the leadership team planted numerous saplings of indigenous and shade-bearing trees across the Eco Park campus.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager commended the efforts of the Northern Railway Promotee Officers’ Association for taking the initiative to organize the green drive. He highlighted that sustainable growth and environmental stewardship remain central to Northern Railway’s operational vision, urging officers and staff to consistently nurture the newly planted trees.
The Northern Railway Promotee Officers’ Association reaffirmed its ongoing dedication to social and environmental causes, committing to organize similar sustainability programs across various divisions in the future.
