LECTURER ROOM:

 

The workspace has been upgraded with new floor tiles, wall and roof paneling, and ceiling lights to enhance overall aesthetics and comfort. Improved air conditioning, modular electric switches, and wall-mounted BLDC fans have been installed for better climate control and energy efficiency.

Furniture enhancements include new cubicles and interlocking storage units designed to support the working needs of faculty members. Additionally, Railnet LAN wiring and BSNL Wi-Fi connectivity have been integrated to ensure seamless access to the E-office system, enabling efficient preparation and sharing of lectures, notes, and other official railway correspondence.

CLASS ROOMS

STC Charbagh, Lucknow, has a total of five classrooms, out  of  which  three  Class room No. 1,3 & 4 (capacity: 24)Classroom No. 2 (capacity: 32), and Classroom No.5 (capacity: 40). And classroom No.1,2 & 5 are smart classrooms.    These classrooms are equipped with advanced smart LED panels for interactive learning  and are   fully air- conditioned, providing a  comfortable and  modern  educational  environment  for students.

CLASS ROOM NO. 3 & 5

 

Classroom No. 03 & 5 has undergone a comprehensive upgrade with the installation of advanced systems aimed at enhancing both functionality and the learning environment. Key additions include a state-of-the-art Interactive Intelligent Panel/Display, energy-efficient BLDC fans, a modern false ceiling, and an enhanced air conditioning system to ensure comfort. The classroom now features elegant wall and roof panelling, stylish curtains, and ambient ceiling lighting. For seamless communication and collaboration, a PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera and a conference speakerphone system (Class room no. 03) with 360-degree microphone pickup integrated. Additionally, brand-new furniture has been provided for both trainees and faculty, contributing to a more engaging and professional educational space.

CONFERENCE HALL

The conference hall is fully air-conditioned and equipped with a smart meeting room setup. It features a high-quality smart LED display for clear presentations and powerful speakers for enhanced audio clarity. This modern facility ensures a seamless and efficient meeting experience, making it ideal for conferences, seminars, and corporate events.

STC LIBRARY (e-Granthalaya)

The STC library is well stocked with more than 1900 books on various subjects such as Engineering, Management, Information Technology, Welding Technology and Yoga. Various Hand books, Codes, Maintenance manuals, Accident manuals etc. are also available for reference. Newspapers in Hindi and English are also available.  The library uses the e-Granthalaya cloud software developed by NIC for library management.

HERITAGE GALLERY AT STC CHARBAGH, LUCKNOW

 

The Heritage Gallery at STC Charbagh, Lucknow, is a treasure trove showcasing India's rich railway history. It houses historical photographs and maps (30), along with Charbagh Workshop drawings (20) that depict the evolution of railway infrastructure. Unique machinery includes a Tin Edge Machine, a manual press machine from 1931, and a wooden pattern from the Pattern Shop. The gallery also features 18 railway-related books, preserving the legacy of Indian Railways.

HOSTEL & MESS

The Apprentice Engineers Hostel has more than 85 rooms with a total bed capacity of 180 beds. The dining hall has a seating capacity for serving 100 meals at a time. The mess is run by the trainees on self-financing and self-managed basis. The hostel has a common recreation hall with cable TV, Wi- Fi, indoor gymnasium, open badminton and volleyball courts.

CCTV

STC is equipped with specialized laboratories such as the C&W Lab, Diesel Lab, AC Lab, Train Lighting Lab, and WSP Lab, each designed to provide hands-on learning through trainers and display models.

To strengthen safety and security, and to curb incidents of miscreant activities, CCTV surveillance systems have been strategically installed at key locations across the STC, WTC, and AEH premises. These systems facilitate effective monitoring of trainee discipline and help protect institutional assets.

STC conducts various examinations during the training period, including end-of-session evaluations and promotional assessments. Additionally, the WTC corridor features a Heritage Gallery that showcases antique models, blueprints, and other historically significant artefacts, enriching the educational environment.

 

GREEN INITIATIVES

STC is committed to fostering environmentally sustainable growth through a series of impactful green initiatives. The campus features a tertiary-level Sewage Treatment Plant with a 5KLD capacity utilizing MBBR technology, alongside a 33kW solar energy system and a rainwater harvesting plant—each contributing to resource conservation and eco-efficiency. Creative artworks made from scrap materials and well-designed, comfortable classrooms further reflect STC’s dedication to sustainability. At STC Charbagh, Lucknow, the lush green lawn with carpet grass offers a serene and welcoming atmosphere, accentuated by eight vibrant tricolor strip lights and twenty sleek aluminum bollard garden lights that enhance its visual appeal. The expansion of the vertical garden and development of new grass lawns have significantly increased the greenery across the premises. Two showers installed at the main entrance add both aesthetic charm and environmental value, while the renovated pond with a shower feature and freshly laid lawns enrich the landscape. Meticulous trimming of all trees within the WTC premises ensures a clean, well-maintained environment, inspiring trainees to embrace eco-friendly practices in their own professional spaces.

 

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 

The faculty at STC guides the trainees for taking part in Extra-Curricular activities like Nukad-Nataks, Debate competitions, Essay writing, Poster making, Swachta Shramdaan etc. This is considered essential for overall personality development of the trainees.
