AIR CONDITIONING LAB

Air Conditioning Lab is established with Refrigeration Cycle trainer, Gas charging Trainer, basic Air conditioning trainer, Small Components (Compressors etc) Models Learning Station and RMPU Trainer with ICF & LHB Control Panels

C&W LAB

C&W Lab is well equipped various learning stations related to C&W components and it’s working. The Lab has Air Brake System simulator to demonstrate working of DV and various Air Brake System Components. Various components and cut models of ICF, LHB and Wagon are available in this Lab. For better understanding various animated video film has been developed and displayed through Over Head Projector.

COMPUTER LAB

For the training on MS WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT and INTERNET for Northern Railway Supervisors and Technicians, a well-equipped COMPUTER LAB (12 computers) with Latest Desktop Computers, Wi-Fi connection with Internet facility and printing is also available.

DIESEL ENGINE LAB

Diesel Engine Lab has been upgraded for training on various systems of Alco and EMD locomotives. There are Fuel oil system Trainer, Lube oil system Trainer, Water Cooling system Trainer, Braking system Trainer, Loco and DEMU trainer and Electrical System Trainer. Through these Trainers, videos and literature are exhibited to the trainees for better learning of practical knowledge along with trouble shooting. 

TRAIN LIGHTING LAB

Train Lighting Lab is developed in STC for imparting knowledge on Train Lighting. The Lab is equipped with ICF & LHB Air Conditioned Coach wiring diagram and model of various components. The Wiring Diagram Trainer of 2^nd AC ICF and LHB and also have electrical Meters and gauges, IV couplers ICF & LHB, WRA and other components – models and cut sections.

 WELDING LAB (Centre for Excellence)

Welding Lab is developed with a motive of imparting quality education over welding to the trainees. It has been provided with advanced learning equipment's viz. Advance Welding Simulator & Interactive Learning Board, Training Station with AC & DC IGBT based welding plants, TIG & MIG/CO2 welding plant, Plasma, LPG, Oxy-Acetylene cutting plants, Fume Extractor system.

 WSP LAB (Centre for Excellence)

WSP Lab has a well-furnished Training Lab for Wheel Slide Protection system used in LHB Coaches of Indian Railways. The Lab has FIAT bogie with working model of Air Brake System of different makes of WSP System for practical training about its working and troubleshooting is imparted to the trainees. For better understanding an animated video film has also been developed and displayed through HD LED TV.

 AUTOMATION LAB

Automation Lab is developed in STC with a motive of imparting quality education over electronics/automation in Railways. This Lab has interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of PLC, Embedded system, Robotics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Electronic circuits Simulator. 

MODEL PARK

The Model Park in STC is a specialized facility dedicated to showcasing various railway  components and systems. It features an array of models, including the CASNUB Bogie, ICF   Bogie, and ALCO Locomotive Bogie Frame, each representing different aspects of railway   engineering. The park also includes Bio toilets with both S-trap and P-trap configurations,   and  a working model of the Twin Pipe Air Brake System with an air compressor, illustrating   modern sanitation and braking systems. Additionally, the park displays parts of LHB Bogies,  such as bolster springs, anti-roll bars, control arms, and lateral dampers, along with a comprehensive collection of AAR H Type CBC Couplers, Shaku Couplers, and screw couplers, complete with various draft gears and buffers. This educational resource provides trainees with a hands-on understanding of critical railway technologies and components
