Major process reforms, delegation and simplification initiatives adopted on Zonal Railways during the month |
1. A dignified ceremony was held at Shahjahanpur Railway Station on June 3, 2026, to mark the commencement of the scheduled halt for Train No. 22545/22546 (LKO-DDN-LKO Vande Bharat Express). Shri Mithilesh Kumar Katheria (Member of Rajya Sabha) and Dr. Purv Gupta (Member of the Legislative Council, Government of Uttar Pradesh) attended the event. 2. Earnings from ticket sales in June 2026 stood at ₹6.10 crore. This figure is 15.06% higher than the revenue recorded in June 2025 (₹5.30 crore) and exceeds the pro-rata target (₹5.50 crore) by 10.86%. 3.Summer, Fair, and Examination Rush: The Moradabad Division successfully managed the heavy passenger influx in June 2026, driven by the summer rush alongside various examinations and events. These included the UP Police Constable Exam (June 8–10, 2026), Somvati Amavasya (June 15, 2026), the RRB/NTPC Exam (June 13–20, 2026), and the NEET Exam (June 21, 2026). To handle the simultaneous surge caused by competitive exams and the summer rush, the Moradabad Division operated 4 pairs of 'Examination Special' trains (on the MB-DDN, BE-GZB, MB-SPC, and MB-ALJN routes) and 5 pairs of 'Fair Special' trains (on the HW-SVDK, HW-LKO, HW-BTI, and HW-DSA routes) during June 2026.
