INTRODUCTION The Moradabad Railway Division is one of the five railway divisions under the Northern Railway Zone of the Indian Railways. NR/DH was formalised in 1899 and its headquarters located at Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. It was subsequently created in 1925 as part of East Indian Railways. While most of the HQ establishments of NR/DH/MB were formed during initiation, the British East India Company subsequently 35 years later opened an ‘East Indian Railway Hospital’ (EIRH) at Moradabad (MB) and the same was inaugurated on the 3rd of December 1934 by the then British CMO, Sir Hassan Suhrawardy KT.O.B.E.
