Delhi Division runs Steam special train between Delhi Cantt. and Rewari.
Today Delhi Division of Northern Railway successfully rana special Steam Train for 22 British tourists hauled by Steam loco 7000WP (ASHOKA) with three coaches from Delhi Cantt. to Rewari. This loco is of 1958 vintage made by Fabryka Lokomotyw, Poland. The train departedDelhi Cantt. At 10.52 hrs. and arrived Rewari at 13.13 hrs.
The British steam enthusiasts lauded the efforts of Indian Railways for keeping such heritage assets alive and enjoyed the trip.
Later the foreigners visited Heritage steam shed Rewari and appreciated the efforts of Northern Railway Delhi Division for preservation ofHeritage assets. At the steam shed they also visited the steam museum, souvenir shop, Yuganter and Antim Sitara working steam models, World oldest working steam loco Fairy Queen and 1921 vintage Edward coach and watched documentary movie on Heritage steam shed Rewari.
Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, DRM Delhi said that the last such heritage trip for foreigners was done on 15.02.2020.
