In the month of Oct. 2012 three cases of chain pulling in Shivganga Express alone have been reported. In order to check such incidents of Alarm Chain Pulling without any valid reason, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northern Railway has intensified its drive in all sensitive locations.

A person named Dharmendra Pal, a private contract labour of Noida, having ticket no. 49149492 from Varanasi to New Delhi, has been arrested and prosecuted under Section-141 of the Indian Railways Act, 1989 for ACP this morning.

Similarly 18 other persons have been arrested today for ACP in various checks and have been prosecuted under Section 147 of the Indian Railways Act, 1989.
