Arrangements made during foggy season
Delhi Division of Northern Railway has made the following arrangements to further strengthen enquiry system during foggy weather:-
(1)Apart from Phone No. 139, additional Manual Telephone Enquiry service shall be provided by Delhi Division during foggy weather on MTNL telephone no. 011-23747110.
(2)Apart from enquiry through SMS from telephone no. 139, an additional telephone no. has been started for SMS based Train Enquiry system for New Delhi, Delhi Jn., Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminal and Delhi Serai Rohilla stations in connection with arrival/departure of trains during foggy season. In this system passengers can SMS the 5 digit train no. to mobile no. 9717631813, the expected arrival/departure of train from Delhi area stations will be SMS back to the passenger by the system automatically after a few seconds. For example if passenger wants to know the status of arrival/departure of Train no. 12951 simply write in SMS 12951 and send to the mobile no. 9717631813.
Passengers are advised to enquire about arrival/ departure of trains before leaving for the stations during the fog period so that they are least inconvenienced.
