NORTHERN RAILWAY HOLDS 122ND MEETING OF ZONAL
RAILWAY USERS CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE
Northern Railway held the 122nd Meeting of Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee at Vigan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi today. The Meeting was attended by Sh. Praveen Singh Aron & Sh. Sharifuddin Shariq, Hon’ble Members of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Smt Bimla Kashyap Sood, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha & Sh. Mala Ram Gangwal, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Delhi. The meeting was presided over by Sh. Vijay Kumar Gupta, General Manager, Northern Railway, Principal Heads of Departments & Members of the Committee were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Sh. Vijay Kumar Gupta stated that this Rail Users Meeting has always been one of the most effective sources for the Railway to obtain the feed back on the essential needs of the traveling public. He also added that the Railway would continue to provide greater amenities to the traveling public through effective system improvements & through greater drives to bring in customer-friendly facilities in all areas of the public interface. He also shared the achievements of Northern Railway in the past with gathering. The Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee is a forum comparing both nominated and elected members. Members of this Committee representing various interest are nominated from the Central & State Govt., District Levels and Rail Customers from various segments of the economy. Members from the elected bodies of several recognized Railway Users Welfare Organizations are also part of the Committee. The meeting was attended by members of the ZRUCC and suggestions were made by them regarding various issue related to passenger amenities, stoppages of trains and improvement in services.
