Functions and working of Operating Department: Ø The main object of Operating Department is to maintain punctual running of trains with safety to passengers and transportation of Freight & Parcels. Ø Control office plays vital role in operating department for controlling movement of trains. For control of movements, Division is divided into 5 Control Boards sections Control Board 1-FZR-FKA-KKP, FZR-LDH, FKA-ABS Control Board 2-ASR-SNL, ASR-PTK, ASR-ATT Control Board 3-JRC-PTK/PTKC-JAT-SVDK Control Board 4-FZR-JUC, JUC-HSX, JUC-NRO-PHR, NRO-LNK, LNK-PHR Control Board 5-. Ø Involves continuous planning and monitoring resulting in punctual running of trains and faster delivery of goods. Ø Preparation of Time-Table: Every year new Coaching trains inducted in division for comfort of passenger, this is done through revision of time-table. Ø Maintenance of all statistical records pertaining to coaching and goods traffic.
