Vision & Mission






Division is adopting various measures for electrical energy conservation & reduction in energy bills. To achieve it, provision of indoor & outdoor LED fittings at all stations with service buildings over Ambala Division is being ensured.Installation of solar geysers for running rooms, Solar system along with LED lights at level crossing etc. Solar roof top power plants are being provided in phased manner at all major railway stations which will prove huge energy saving in near future.






Station name boards of all major stations are being replaced with 3-D LED type station name board for better visibility and energy saving.


Provision of SMS alert facility in Lifts and escalators



For comfort of old age, handicapped and child passengers, lifts and escalators are being provided in phased manner at various railway station.But at the time of fault these lifts and escalators remains off.Due to scaricity of manpower, staff cannot engated on all escalators and lifts.Hence, SMS alert facility is under planning/observation which indicates to electrical supervisors when lifts remains off.When electrical supervision knows about lift/escalators faulty he can book the staff immediately to attend the same.



Upgradation of power supply system



Dependency on electricity is increasing day by day due to addition of new machinery in railways.Power supply system is being upgraded in phased manner to strengthen the network.All undersized cables are being replaced with high capacity cables.



In duct UV-c disinfection system (anti corona device) installed in LHB AC coach on trial basis



As per guide lines of RDSO and HQ office the UV-C system is installed in the existing duct of AC system of coach No. 143908 LWACCN by CSIO-CSIR at Chandigarh depot.The running trail of this coach has been successfully completed and under observation and will be provided after 100 percent successful of trial.
