Vision & Mission :
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OF TRD & RSO ORGANISATION:
ØCCRS INSPECTION OF MDPB-KTHU, JUC-NRO-LNK, NRO-PHR & BDGM-BRML SECTION DONE.
CCRS inspection with Electric Loco Speed Trial was conducted of newly electrified Jallandhar City-Nakodar-Lohian Khas, Nakodar-Phillaur, Budgam-Baramulla and Doubling line of Madhopur – Kathua sections.
ØGM INSPECTION OF SVDK-PTKC SECTION DONE
Annual GM inspection was conducted of SVDK-JAT-PTKC section of Firozpur division.
ØELECTRIFICATION OF BEAS SIDING AND DIW SIDING:
Electrification work of Beas siding & Dhilwan siding has been completed and charged successfully.
Ø ENERGISATION OF MNVL/TSS
The charging of MNVL/TSS with incoming supply of 132KV from JKPDD was pending since 2016 due to delay in commissioning of transmission line. Non-charging of MNVL/TSS has affected train operation in JAT-SVDK section due to voltage fluctuations. After persistent efforts, the charging of MNVL/TSS with 132KV incoming supply has been done on 30.03.2021. With this the problem of voltage fluctuation that affected train operation has been resolved.
ØELECTRIFICATION OF BATALA (BAT)-QADIAN(QDN) SECTION:
BAT-QDN section has been commissioned for electric operation on 25.3.21 afterauthorization by CRS.
ØELECTRIFICATION OF AMRITSAR (ASR)-CHHEHARTA (CIA) SECTION:
ASR-CIA section has been commissioned for electric train operation on 25.3.21 afterauthorization by CRS.
ØELECTRIFICATION OF GVK SIDING AT KHADOOR SAHIB:
Section from Khadoor Sahib of Beas Tarntaran main line to GVK Thermal Power Plant has been commissioned for electric train operation on 07.06.2021. As a result Freight trains can now run directly to Coal based GVK Thermal Power Plant with electric traction which will result in saving of time and resources used in change of traction at Khadoor Sahib station.
ØIMPLEMENTATION OF TRACTION DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:
Firozpur division is first division on NR for implementation of TDMS which is an online portal for feeding TRD assets and maintenance data online.

ØSAVINGS BY REGENERATION OF TRACTION ENERGY BY 3-Φ LOCO:
Cumulative Saving of Rs. 1345.92 lacs have been made upto the month of Jan 2022, during the current year on account of traction energy regeneration by 3–phase locos plying in the division, which is 16.80 % of the total energy consumed. During Last FYRs. 273.9 lacs had been saved on this account.
ØUSE OF RADIO FREQUENCY BASED TECHNOLOGY DPWCS IN FREIGHT TRAIN:
Firozpur division has played major role to supply the essential eatable/ food items for the other part of country in COVID-19 lockdown period. Earlier, these items were supplied by freight trains with 02 set of crews (one on main loco & other one on locomotive attached in the middle of train) but now Firozpur division started a freight train by attaching 02 locomotives controlled with the use of radio frequency based technology DPWCS (Distributed power wireless controlled system) which is being developed to increase the throughput of railway line. In this technique only one crew is required on main locomotive and rest all connected locomotives are being controlled by radio frequency.
On 26.04.2020, Firozpur division has started a freight train consisting 84 wagons with 2 locomotives (main loco & other one loco attached in the middle of train). Only one crew was booked to work on main loco whereas other attached locomotives were controlled by using DPWCS.
ØReliability action plan:
·Overaged assets according to Codal life has been planned for timely replacement.
·Time to time rusty cantilevers & rusty anticreeps have been identified and same has been replaced regularly.
·Replacement of rusted steel anticreep wire by catenary wire.
·Monkey scare arrangements are being provided in monkey menace areas.
·To prevent Contact OHE parting due to bird fault / Monkey electrocuted saddle plate (RI-1174) under suspension clamp are being provided.
·Regularly updation of sectioning diagram in view of yard remodelling, new loop lines, X-overs & other electrification works.
·100% foot patrolling done by supervisors/staff using TDMS app.
·Provision of 160sqmm jumper in place of 105 sq.mm G-jumper in first subsector. As per RDSO Drg. ETI/OHE/G/05102 Rev-C, cross type G-jumper (length 4100mm) shall be provided in first subsector except turnout & cross over
