Duty list of Officers & Key Supervisors

·OrganizingpressconferenceswithDivisionalRailwayManager.

·Coverageandissueofpressreleases,relatingtofunctions,inspections,programs, inaugurations and various social, cultural and sports activities in the division.

·Invitation to Dignitaries, Public representatives and other VIPs for inaugurations, inspections & other important official functions as per laid down guidelines over the division.

·Preparation of Sitting plan, brochures, backdrops and banners for the official functions.

·Ensure distribution of Banners, posters and stickers to update general public about policies the government and the department.

·To provide ease of platform for Production of films, documentaries and short video clips as per the directions of CPRO.

·Maintenance of cordial and healthy relations with print & electronic media personnel of different stations.

·Media Management of different events at various stations of the division.

·Coverage of inspections conducted by GM, DRM, Head of departments, safety drives, cleanliness drives, ”Nukkadnatak”, open adalat, pension adalats, and other miscellaneous functions.

·Date wise collection of railway news from daily newspapers and bifurcate it into Positive, negative and neutral news and send to CPRO office for further necessary action.

·Coverage and publicity of places of interest & heritage located in the division.

·Organizing interviews of DRM with print & electronic media.

·Projection of important activities & major achievements through social media platforms like Twitter.

Key Targets/Objectives

·One of the main targets/objectives of public relations departmentis to create, maintain, and protect the organization's reputation, enhance its prestige, and present a favorable image.

·Another major public relations goal is to create good will for the organization. This involves such functions as employee relations, stockholder and investor relations, media relations, and community relations. Public relations may function to educate users about many things relevant to the organization.
