1. Open Access at Varanasi.

Electrical Supply 33 KV for use of non-traction substation has been started through Open Access at Varanasi Railway Station. In this conversion Electrical Supply being received is much cheaper than the normal rates it is resulting into savings to the tune of Rs. 15 Lakh per month against non traction energy bills.

2.Solar Installation over Lucknow Division.

Since January 2020, a total of 1351 KWp capacity Solar installationshave been commissioned over division which are big efforts towards clean energy initiatives. Location wise these Solar plants have been commissioned at PBH (100KWp) Faizabad (265 KWp), JRRPF (211 KWp), IRITM (190 KWp), DRM Office(120Kwp), Raebarely(100Kwp) Kashi(50Kwp), Diesel Shed (175Kwp), Janghai(50Kwp) PRG(45KWp) & AME(45KWp). At pesent a total of 3071 KWp capacity solar plants are in operation over division.

 

3.Illumination improvement at Ayodhya, Kashi, Amethi & other important Stations.

Additional lighting & provision of additional lighting poles including façade lights have been provided as per requirements at Ayodhya, Kashi, Amethi & other important Stations in view of Minimum Essential Amenities guidelines & Improvement of illumination at Stations (Footfall more than 2000/day (Nos.).

 

4.Commissioning of Lifts at Varanasi & Lucknow Railway Station.

02nos. Lifts provided during year 2020-21, one at Varanasi and other at Lucknow Railway station. Now Division has installed total ten numbers Lifts (BSB-3, LKO-3, FD-2, SLN-2) over division.


5.Commissioning of Escalators at Varanasi & Lucknow Stations.

04 nos. Escalators provided during year 2020-21, two at Varanasi and other two at Lucknow Railway station. Now Division has installed total Eighteen number escalators (BSB- 8 Nos, LKO-06 Nos, FD-02 Nos & SLN-2) over division.


6.Inauguration & flag off of new Train Kashi-Mahakal Express from Varanasi on 16/02/2020 being primarily maintained by BSB Coaching depot of Lucknow Division.

The Train No. 82401/82402, The Kashi-Mahakal Express being primarily maintained by BSB Coaching depot was flagged off virtually by Hon’ble PM Sh. Narendra Modi on 16.02.2020 at Varanasi Railway Station for well connectivity of Varanasi & Ujjain cities.


7.Inauguration & flag off of new Train Varanasi-Kevadiya Express from Varanasi on 17/01/2021by Lucknow Division.

The Train No. 09130, The Varanasi-Kevadiya Express was flagged off virtually by Hon’ble PM Sh. Narendra Modi on 17.01.2021 at Varanasi Railway Station for well connectivity of Varanasi & Kevadiya cities.


8.Establishment of training centre for LHB & Non LHB AC & TL coaches inFaizabad depot.

New training centre for LHB & Non LHB AC & TL coaches has been established at Faizabad Train Lighting depot. This will be helpful to train the escorting and maintenance staff hence to ensure reliable traffic service and minimise passenger complaints.

 

 

9.Provision of 5 Star rating pump sets (Upto20HP)(16 Nos.)

16nos. of 5 Star rating pump sets (Upto 20HP) have been provided at FD(02), LKO(05), PYG(02), RBL(01),SLN Washing Lines(01), Loco ClyBSB(01), 01no. at Indoor Hospital/LKO, 01no. at DRM Office/LKO, 01no. at RPSF pump no.74 & 01no. at BBG Colony over Lucknow Division.

 

10.Commissioning of water coolers, Provision of additional Ceiling fans & improvement of illumination at Railway Stations over Lucknow Division in view of shortfall Passenger amenities.

The following shortfall passenger amenities have been provided at Railway Stations as per Minimum Essential Amenities guidelines.

i)Additional lighting as per requirements has been provided to improvement of illumination on 36 nos. stations.

ii)21nos. Water coolers have been provided at 14 nos. stations to ensure availability of drinking water for passengers.

iii)Additional ceiling fans have been provided at 13 nos. Railway Stations with appropriate nos. of fans which were having platform shelters.

 

11.Improvement at Divisional Hospital in view of COVID-19 patients.

 

·The following facilities have been provided at NRDH/LKO in view of COVID -19.

a)14nos. new AC &174 nos. additional switch boards have been provided at corona wards.

b)27nos desert coolers & 36 nos. W/bracket fans have been provided at wards & other required locations for facilities of patient.

c)50 nos. LED tube lights & 30nos. LED street lights provided additionally.

d)7 Nos. new LED display boards including Hospital name board have been provided.

e)Rewiring of all major wards along with all electrical facilities in view of renovation works have been commissioned for facilitation of patients care in following wards & cabins at NRDH/LKO.

 

12.Rakes preparation of Isolation for COVID-19 over Lucknow Division.

69nos. Isolation coaches have been placed at BSB, FD & BOY respectively to accommodate COVID-19 Patients. Necessary arrangement for charging the rake & ensuring other facilities for patients from electrical side is also being ensured.

 

13.Environmental friendly measures undertaken by Electrical/General Lucknow Division.

i)Fuel saving on account of HOG conversion and running.

During year 2020-21 a total of 10,68,725 Liters HSD oil was saved against running of all LHB trains with HOG resulting into reduction of 2800 Ton CO2 emission.

 

ii)Green energy generation by Solar plants

During the year 2020-21, division has added 1351 Kilowatt capacity Solar plants making total installation capacity to 3071 Kilowatt. In year 2020-21, around 18,71,443 units have been generated through solar generation.

 

iii)Solar plants at LC Gates.

In division 406 out of 695 LC Gates have been electrified with solar plants, a total of 1,75,392 units have been generated by these plants.

iv)Provision of LED lights at all railway installation including staff quarters.

Approximate 11% Electrical Energy is being saved every year by replacement of all conventional type light fittings with LED light fittings. This has also reduced use of HSD oil at station and installations.

v)Provision of LED lights in all passenger coaches.

Appreciable energy saving are being made by providing LED lights in place of conventional type lights in all passenger coaches.

vi)Provision of 5-star rated Air conditioning equipments.

5-star rated ACs having eco-friendly refrigerants gases are being provided at different railway installations.

vii)Provision of Eco friendly refrigerants in AC plants of passenger coaches.

Eco friendly refrigerants like R-22 and R-407 are being used only for AC plants of passenger coaches.

viii)Use of Online modules like e-Office, HRMS, UDM & CMM etc.

Appreciable saving of papers is being made through use of Online modules like e-Office, HRMS, UDM & CMM etc.
