1.Mechanical (O&F) Wing
Mechanical (O&F) wing is responsible for effective utilization and monitoring of diesel locomotives and crews. Diesel Operation plays a vital role in traffic movement over FZR division. The Power wing has sanctioned Running Staff strength of 1740. Against this, on roll staff strength is 1705. The Crew of FZR Division works the trains in adjoining HSR Bikaner Divisions of NWR, UMB, MB & DLI Divisions of NR. There are 9 Crew lobbies, 9 Running Rooms and 8 Railway Consumer Depots (RCDs) over the division under Mechanical O&F Wing. It is also responsible for diesel issue to locomotives working on line in economical manner. EnHM works also forms the part of the duties of this wing.

5.DETAILS OF LOCO RUNNING ROOM OF FZR DIVISION
There are 9 Running Rooms under Mechanical O&F wing in the division, with a total bed capacity of 404.These are spacious Running Rooms with proper facilities and amenities to provide a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment to Running Staff. The Running Rooms are looked after by Chief Loco Inspector and have a caretaker also. The details are as under:

6.BRIEF DETAIL ABOUT LOBBIES OF FZR DIVISION:
There are 9 Lobbies under Mechanical O&F wing in the division, with a total Sign ON/OFF capacity of 2005/per day.These lobbies have proper facilities and amenities to provide a safe & secured environment for Signing ON/OFF duty by Running Staff. The Lobbies are looked after by one Chief Loco Inspector at each Lobby and have a Crew Controllers (CC) in each shift.The details are as under:

7.RAILWAY DIESEL INSTALLATION
There are 8 RCDs over the division, out of which two are in the Total Fuel Management system (TFM) at LDH and JUC under M/s BPCL at LDH and M/s IOCL at JUC. At all the RCDs except JAT, the HSD fuel is supplied by Tank Trucks (TT).

There are three 140-T DSL BD Cranes at LDH, PTK & SVDK under the charge of SSE/ART/LDH, SSE/Loco/PTK and CDO/SVDK.

10. Other Activities:-
Providing crew for:-
- 36 links of Superfast/Mail/Express trains.
- 12 links for DEMU /EMEU/Passengertrains.
- Avg.05 pairs of Special/Festival trains like Puja specials, Holi specials, Chhatspecials, and VIP specials time to time.
- 140 T crane, ART and SPARMV.
- Tower WagonCrew.
Training, Monitoring and Counseling:-
- Scheduling training program of Running staff for promotional courses, safety course, traffic courses and other periodical refreshes courses.
- Monitoring / grading of loco pilots by CLIs.
- Counseling of running staff regarding Safety Circular & Safety Drives of Head Quarter/Divisional Office and modifications of diesel locomotives/DEMU.
- Monitoring of PME, Safety/refresher courses of all Running staff to ensure that no overdue running staff to be booked for train working.
- Updating and Publishing of Signal Location Booklet for Running Staff every year.
- Training of new locomotive WDG-6G /WDG-4G/ WAG-12 & Three Phase EMEU.
- Counseling & training regarding safe train operation during foggy weather.
- Training regarding use of FSD (Fog Safe Device) during foggy weather.
11.Highlights/Achievements from April -21to March-22
1.Total Fuel Management System has been implemented at RCD/LDH & JUC.
2.Two nos Spill proof coupling has been installed at RCD JUC & LDH to arrest the drop by drop leakage of HSD oil during fuelling in locomotive, which shall be help in save the fuel. It is the first, initiative taken by Mech (O&F) wing of FZR division in NR.
3.HSD oil (3990350 liters) has been saved by shutting down diesel power during idle period with total saving of Rs. 321740297/- during the current FY.
4.Long pending issue of dual lobbies since last 10 years at LDH has been resolved. Loco Crew lobby at LDH has been shifted and merged with integrated Crew Lobby at LDH Station on 18.06.2021. The merging of lobbies will help in better management of crew and saving of staff.
5.New portable fuel cell censor based hand held Breath Analyzer make Tayal tech model Alcokhoj-2018 as per latest RDSO specification along with printer has been distributed individually to every open line CLIs under Mechanical O&F wing.
6.Existing practice of sending running staff to BDGM on rotation basis has been discontinued by permanent posting of running staff at BDGM.
7.Caution LED Display system on 55” LED for display of Caution orders has been provided at JAT Lobby.
8.Web based online bed booking in Running Rooms has been started at SVDK & JAT by installing (RROB) App.
9.Subsidized Meal facility has been provided in all Running Room over Firozpur division and achieved 100% target, which is 1st in NR.
10.ISO Certification ISO 9001:2015 has been obtained for lobbies at JAT,PTK & ASR.
11.CCTV Surveillance system has been provided in Running Rooms at JAT & SVDK.
12.ISO Certification ISO 9001:2015 has been obtained for Running Room at JAT & SVDK.
13.ISO Certification ISO 9001:2015 has been obtained for Running Room at JAT & SVDK.
14.Shunting Mela is being organized at all Lobbies over FZR Division for counseling of running staff ,operating staff & C&W staff for safe smooth train operation.
15.Safety seminars and family interactions are being conducted at all crew lobbies regularly by officers and CLI’s to resolve the personal problems of running staff for stress free working by Running Staff.
