’Welcome to Rajbhasha Section, Ambala Division’
Along with official language implementation and translation related work, Rajbhasha section, Ambala Division executes tasks related to various official language reports, organising quarterly Official Language Implementation Committees meetings regularly, organising Hindi Fortnight, hindi workshops and seminars, various hindi competitions, conducting hindi inspection etc. Time to time Parliamentary Official Language Committee inspects railway stations/offices. These inspections are managed by Rajbhasha Section. In addition to this, hindi translation of curriculum/books being taught in the training institutes is also done. All Station Operating Rules, Gate Rules and all other types of rules being used in Railway Operations are provided in bilingual form.
The head of this section is ‘Senior Rajbhasha Adhikari’ who manages the section’s work with the help of Senior Translators, Junior Translators and supporting staff.

‘Waris Shah Hindi Library’ is situated in the office of Divisional Railway Manager, Ambala. This library is a part-time library which opens for readers from 1330 hrs to 1430 hrs on working days only.
